"I'm a nice guy" Guy: This guy is "nice". He will use this word to a disturbing degree. He will admit to no wrongdoing of any kind in his life, ever. As far as you know, he was conceived immaculately and spends most of his time curing fetal cancer. Naturally, if you ever actually meet this guy, it is inevitably a letdown, because by that time you're probably expecting him to be followed by a legion of fans or at the very least be able to raise the dead. Also unfortunately, this sort of guy has an even higher than usual (which is already PRETTY DAMN HIGH) rate of actually being the exact opposite of everything he claims. So he would be...a chemical warrior who injects pregnant women with HIV, or something.

The Sexual Deviant: He's a sexual deviant. On one hand, it's kind of refreshing that he comes out right away and says it, and on the other hand, he's a sexual deviant.

The Abercrombie Man: So named because his profile picture bears a striking resemblence to someone in an Abercrombie ad. This is because his picture is an actual Abercrombie ad. Although not rare, he is still less common than his female counterpart, "Photo from an adult personals site girl", who is a dime a dozen.

Anarchy Andy: He's rebelling. He's probably not sure exactly what he's rebelling AGAINST...it's sort of a "What have you got?" situation. His method of being different and unique is to find a smaller niche community to emulate. If forced to list his greatest hatreds, from worst to most acceptable, it would be something like: 1. Conformity 2. Bright clothing 3. Being eaten by wolves 4. His wallet is likely on a chain. Never, ever, make the mistake of mentioning any musical group to this person, unless you want to hear about how ____ group is totally corporate and sold out and was soooooooo much better when he saw them 6 months ago, before they got popular. EDIT: I just typed in "Anarchy Andy" into Youtube on a lark and it comes back with a bunch of videos of this kid doing some amateur backyard wrestling. And get this: the kids are actually REALLY REALLY GOOD.

Went To Paris Once Girl: Appears in guys as well, but most often in females. She went to Paris once for a month or two to study abroad or on vacation away from her family. It "changed her life". She comes back home and starts every sentence with "In Paris, the people _____". Everything. If you pick up a fork, she will say, "In Paris, the people use forks with 5 tines! It's just such a great place. I can't wait to go back." She probably entertains a desire to teach English in this country and marry a local. Her facebook wall is inevitably filled with messages from random people abroad saying "MISS MY PARIS GIRLS!1!" She has one facebook photo album full of photos of her standing with other girls and making faces near the Arc De Triumphe and Eiffel Tower. She hates "faux-American" baguette.

She will remain this way until visiting a different country, then switch all her allegiances accordingly. She is now bored with the first country.

Naturally, like every other man in EXISTENCE with any brain, I'd claim to be none of these preconceived character portraits, because I am my own man. Well, let's see. My name is Jason. I live in Decatur, IL. I'm 24, 6'4" about 280lbs. I'm a husky guy, but not all sloppy fat. First things first, I'm not too keen on the concept of online dating. Why? Because I think the whole system treats people like meat rather than human beings. I think it's easy for people to get on their high horse and completely dismiss others at the drop of a hat. Why have conversations and actually treat someone with respect when you can, you know, completely ignore them instead? I've only been on this site for 3 weeks and I've already encountered some high class snobbery, hostile attitudes, and people who act like you're unworthy of their time and that they're doing you a huge favor just by reading your message. Let me get this out of the way: I am not above anyone. I'm human, I have weaknesses, I have problems like everyone else does.

If you think you can judge me, or anyone else for that matter, based on a photo and a short profile page, you are sorely mistaken. People are far more complex than that. Yet that's what online dating does: forces you to become judgmental. I know I sound like a huge hypocrite since I'm partaking in the thing I just criticized, but hey, I wasn't having luck out there and just thought I'd try it out. All I know is that no matter how long I'm a member here, I refuse to become like that. If someone decides to contact me, I don't want them to feel intimidated or like they're being judged. It's tough out there. I know. I want you to feel like an equal.

Can one possibly sum up their entire life and personality in a few paragraphs? I don't know, but I'll try. Right off the bat, I should point out that I'm very, very, very passionate about art - specifically films and music. I first developed an interest in film after seeing American History X at a young age, but I didn't become a die-hard fan until the age of 14 when I watched Taxi Driver for the first time. Ever since then, I've been on a personal quest to learn about and watch as many as I can. Ditto for music: if it's interesting and artistic, I'll check it out.

I firmly believe in living for the now. It's a policy most would disagree with, but I've seen way too much in my life to automatically assume I'll live to a ripe old age. It's fine to save and work towards a future, but if that's all you do, then it's nothing but a form of subsistence that is inexistence. Now is the only thing that's real.

Personality-wise, I'm somewhat shy and introverted when around new people. However, after getting to know them more, I'll usually warm up and become a lot more out-going.

I always love learning about new things and hearing different opinions. Ideally, I'd love to meet someone who can sit me down, shut me up, and tell me 10 things I don't know. It would be nice for a potential match to have similar interests, but if not, that's fine too. I'm always willing to learn about what interests you as long as you're willing to learn a little about me.

I'm a light-hearted, carefree type of guy who doesn't take himself too seriously (as evidenced by that horrible picture of me giving the ultra-cheesy thumbs up sign). I'm opinionated about certain things, but I don't like confrontations or huge arguments. I've had arguments in the past and they never seem to go anywhere or change anyone's mind, so they seem futile in my book. Unlike most men, I think there are far more important things than sex and looks. I've always believed that a person can't choose what they look like, so why should they be penalized or rewarded for it? Being a decent person and having a good personality mean more to me than what you look like.

I wouldn't exactly call myself straight edge, but I do live a very Ian MacKaye-approved lifestyle. For those not in the know, this means I refuse to drink alcohol or do drugs. The reason why is very personal to me and it's not something I tell strangers, but rest assured I'm not just doing it because some punk musician told me to. However, I have nothing against people who partake in those activities and I don't think I'm better than them or anything silly like that. I have no problem going to bars or watching people smoke weed, but it's just not something anyone could ever convince me to do.

Frist off, I'm an astist. I love being on stage singing, playing the drums or both. I love to paint, draw, and weld, I just have to be creative in sum way all the time!!!

I am 30 years old, living in central Illinois. I like to walk, read, watch movies, gardening, spend time with family and friends. I am looking for new friends. I enjoy my work at an Investment Advisors office.

I have several favorite authors but my all time favorite is Agatha Christie. I don't have a favorite movie, there are many I like. I tend to like old ones and new. I like most music. There are about a dozen or so foods that I will not eat or try, other than that I like food.

I enjoy listening to live music, rides in the country to nowhere specific, cooking for guests, long walks with plenty of talk, holding hands, hugs and kisses. Being a conversationalist I have nothing to hide. My life is an open book all that is required for you to know me is is turn the pages and read.

I am a single mother who is back into dating again and looking to meet new peopel. I work hard, but always make time for fun, exciting, and interesting activities. Extremely curious, (and yes, it can sometimes get me into trouble) I have a wide variety of interests (see below). Laugh a lot and easily become a flirt when the mood sets me that way! If I click with someone, this side of my personality readily comes out and I become even more enjoyable to spend time with. As I am easy going, I like doing a variety of activities, whether that is dancing to strobes or sitting in my pajamas watching a movie or tv marathon. All of my tattoos are nice, no trashy ones. You can see a few in my pictures. I have an anchor, 2 swallows, a rose, a banner that says "FAITH", and the word "solace" all on my left arm. I have My mother's name on my right wrist, a small blue star on my left hand, and a bouquet of poppy flowers on my right ankle. I have my ears gauged out to 3/4". I have my nose pierced, my septum pierced, and I have "snake bites"... yet, I wear them in moderation. I don't like to look like a metal face. :)

I guess you could call me artistic or creative...I love to paint. I really like painting all over the walls. The bigger the canvas, the better. My place I have now is covered in my artwork. My favorite is the room of swirls. I also just bought a new guitar. I have actually learned to play it pretty well with no lessons.

A lot of people on here ask me if I am a good cook. Well, yes and no. :) I can make one hell of an Italian meal...and I can bake pretty well...but I don't have much experience in cooking. So, if you can cook...you should teach me. Haha.

I love Baseball. The Cubs are my personal favorite...if you have anything bad to say about them...I don't want to hear it. I love theatre, too. I have been in three shows in the past 2 years. I have been in 2 musicals and 1 comedy. I like both styles of theatre equally. My mom is my best friend. We spend most of our time together. I have been living completely on my own now for one year.

I am originally from Wisconsin. I lived with my mom and my brother until the age of 14. When we left Wisconsin, my brother stayed behind with my grandparents, my mom and I packed all of our things up into her little Ford Focus and traveled all over the west coast.

I was homeschooled all the way through high school. I attemped high school for less than a semester. I got kicked off the bus for hitting a boy who read my diary to everyone. (I promise I'm not violent) He had it coming. :) Anyway, I had no other way to school. So, I was homeschooled. It actually worked out better for me, because I got into college a year early.

We have been in Illinois for six years now. Unfortunatley, I have moved back and forth between here and Wisconsin since then, until I got my own place.

I have had my house/apartment since June of '08. I take really good care of it. I put all new carpet and tile in. I changed the light fixtures. I knocked out a wall, on accident while moving furniture. :) I built a new one in it's place. I have done so much to it, that you would never have known what a retro shack it was before.

I'm glad to have finally found something I am passionate about, and that would be doing hair. I plan on sticking around Decatur until I graduate from cosmetology school, then I will be ready to move again. I haven't quite decided where I want to go when I am done school, but I am kind of leaving that up to fate.

I don't have a lot of friends, just a few select people. I have hundreds of aquaintances that I occasionally party with. I am pretty sociable when I am around a lot of people, but you could put me in a room with someone I hardly know, and I won't talk.

I drive a '92 Camry, and I love it...even when it breaks down. Which, any day now...it will again. I plan on getting a new car as soon as I can. I think I may go for a VW. I really like their body styles. Plus, they are worth the money.

Oh, and yes...I work on cars. I taught myself when I was 16 how to work on my pickup. I figured it was better than paying a mechanic 75 dollars an hour to do it for me. So, ever since I have done all the work on my vehicles.

I have a little dog named Shortly, who I love very much. He is a little Rat Terrier (who looks like a Boston Terrier) He follows me everywhere. I picked him out when he was only 2 weeks old and brought him home when he was 5 weeks old. He is my woof. :)

I have been using OkCupid for quite some time now, and have never had any successful relationships come from it. Though, it is still my favorite dating website by far. I have made some good friends here.

Well, I love to have fun, I enjoy the company of someone who cares about me. I actually have a sensitive side, even though I don't really TRY show it too much. Right now, I am just trying to fix a lot of my past mistakes in life, and I am doing that now. I really like to be very open too believe it or not, I usually am very blunt and tell it the way it actually is instead of sugar coating things. I suppose its hard to talk about myself without being feeling arrogant. I've been around technology for most of my life and my love of RPGs surely puts me into the realm of nerd - in a good way, of course. I both play and DM several D&D games (3.5r, I despise 4e). I've played my share of MMOs over the years but I still love a lot of single-player town.
I work part-time as an IT-tech and go to a local college in the ever-going attempt to further my computer degree that I don't quite have yet.

My name is Justin, I live in Decatur IL and work at ADM Corp. Office as a third shift Computer Operator. I like to go to starship and play pool, going bowling, and like to fix comuter in my spare time. I am also going to Richland Community collage to get my degree in Network Administration. I still have a long way to go since i work 40 to 45 hours a week at night time aqnd school during the day time. I love what I do.

I am not very good about talking about myself. But I will says is that I like to have fun. I am on a pool league and sort of kind of on a bowling league as well. Not the funniest thing in the world but I like it because I am IT support so I can help other. I always like being able to talk to user and joking with them. somethings that i have heard over the phone is just great. I also am a IBM Mainframe operator. Not a really hard job at all. Sound harder then it really is. I do like my job just some of the people I have to interact with are just mean and fussy. Really a 45 year old man being fussy go figure. The way i look at myself is I am who I am. I don't plan on changing my way anytime soon. I am good at help others look at things in a different view point. I sometimes give good advice but i can never listen to my own advice.

I am a mom. My kids are my number one priority in life. I am going through a divorce from a 10 year relationship. I love to hang out at home and curl up on the couch for a good book or movie. I love to go watch hockey games, it is my favorite sport. I work full time at a job that I love to do. I love to travel. I sometimes like to go out and have a good time with my friends. I am a big family person. I am one of many children and have LOTS of nieces and nephews:)

I'm quiet at first, but once I get to know someone I open up. I am an accountant and it suits me. I like to travel and always have a trip planned. I just bought a house so I spend a lot of time trying to figure out where things should go. I have a Scottish Terrier named Peter who loves the new house, especially the backyard.

She said I'm funny and that the reason I don't know many people in Decatur is because I haven't lived here long.
