Mary W French Academy Reviews
Quality Score: 5 Post Date:2009-12-16
“French Academy in my opinion is the best school hands down in Decatur. The teachers and the principal at french care about the kids education, and are not there just for a paycheck. If all public schools were like French maybee there would be less kids dropping out and getting into trouble. It is amazing what my two girls has learned at French in the short time they have attended. I highly recomend this school to anyone that cares about there childrens education.” This review was posted by a parent.

“I love french. It is very discipline and the teachers really care. They not only have rules . They enforce them. The teachers and principal inform you on everthing involving your child. I wish they went to 8th grade.” This review was posted by a parent.

“I'm a parent and I couldn't agree less. This school has left out all of the hands-on art and fun, creative things teachers used to do. They say there isn't time, but I just can't believe the leadership has let these fun AND important elementary concepts go by the wayside.” This review was posted by a parent.

“This is an excellent school. The staff works hard to make sure that all children succeed which can be seen by their excellent test scores. This magnet school offers a strong charater education program with old fashioned school principles. Students are expected to say 'Yes maam' and 'No maam.' Students stand when addressing the class. Students at the school also wear uniforms which makes all students have equal footing no matter their economic bracket. There is excellent parent participation and many extra curricular and evening programs offered at the school.” This review was posted by a parent.
