CMap maintains a database of aerial photographs of the northeastern Illinois region from 1970 to 2001. The Illinois Libraries collects and presents aerial photographs of rural America in a way that evokes personal, family and community memories and encourages sharing of shared history. The images were provided as part of a project funded by DNR Iowa in partnership with the Illinois State Library and the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA). University of Florida libraries contains aerial photographs from Florida from 1937 to 1990. Plans for the Florida State Museum of Natural History and the US National Park Service are open to the public.

The Willard Library's historic photo collection contains an estimated 20,000 historic images, all of which are listed here and can be searched and viewed online. It is the brainchild of eight people from different backgrounds who have come together to preserve and preserve the state's most iconic aerial photographs from the past 100 years.
